International Electron Devices, Ltd. to buy 367,000 sq. ft. former Buckbee Mears
Cortland plant and restart aperture mask and medical stent manufacturing
Buckbee Mears and International Electron Devices, Ltd., have jointly announced
that a new company -- IED USA -- is purchasing the former BMC Cortland facility
to restart aperture mask manufacturing production and re-employ up to 200 people
over the next two years. In addition, IED USA, LLC, the new New York limited
liability company, will also be purchasing BMC's medical stent business and
continuing research and development of that biomedical device.
