JOHN MOSSER NAMED TO CORTLAND CHAMBER BOARD

Cortland, NY – John Mosser, vice president for institutional advancement at SUNY Cortland, has been named to the Cortland County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Mosser replaces Nasrin Parvizi, who has stepped down because of conflicting professional obligations.
“We’re sad to lose Nasrin but very pleased that John has agreed to step in,” Travis said. “SUNY Cortland is an important member of the Cortland community and we couldn’t have asked for a better representative.”
A native of Evanston, Illinois, Mosser joined the college last August after 10 years with Bucknell University. He held a variety of posts at Bucknell, including a year as interim vice president for university relations. In this capacity, he managed the final year of a $188.3 million dollar comprehensive fund raising campaign to secure unrestricted annual operating support, fund construction of new campus facilities and build the university’s endowment to ensure the long-term future of the institution. Most recently, he served as special assistant to the president and director of principal gifts.
